Job Summary



As a Summer Intern with the Maintenance and Engineering Department, you will gain handson experience supporting both maintenance and reliability functions within the plant. You will assist with activities such as updating preventive maintenance documentation, organizing spare parts inventory, supporting work order closeout, collecting equipment data in the field, and participating in basic reliabilityfocused tasks under supervision. You will also work alongside the engineering team on assignments that may include reviewing pressure vessel design, piping stress considerations, and pump application and selection criteria. This internship is designed to build your technical knowledge, strengthen your problemsolving skills, and provide exposure to realworld operations in a fastpaced industrial environment.



Location: Geismar, LA (This position is not available for remote work)



Terms:Summer 2026 (Dates can be adjusted based on college schedule)

What You'll Do:

As a Summer Intern with the Engineering Department, you will gain hands-on experience supporting both maintenance and reliability functions within the plant. You will also work alongside the engineering team on assignments that may include reviewing pressure vessel design, piping stress considerations, and pump application and selection criteria. You may be requested to support maintenance and reliability functions. This internship is designed to build your technical knowledge, strengthen your problem-solving skills, and provide exposure to real-world operations in a fast-paced industrial environment.



  • Working with the Engineering Department on project needs and assisting Maintenance and Reliability in a support role
  • Collect and/ or develop equipment data for projects engaging Process Engineers and Reliability
  • Work alongside engineers to assist with reviews related to pressure vessel design, piping stress considerations, and pump application and selection criteria
  • Help identify equipment inefficiencies, potential design concerns, and safety or environmental risks, and contribute to recommended corrective actions
  • Support plant improvement initiatives, including small projects, documentation updates, and reliability-focused tasks
  • Gain exposure to safe work practices and ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with company and regulatory safety standards
  • Learn day-to-day operations within the production unit and assist with resolving operational issues as they arise

What You'll Bring:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline, with an expected graduation date of August 2026 or later
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work legally in the United States without the need for sponsorship
  • Ability to work at heights, outdoors, and in environments where exposure to hazardous chemicals may occur
  • Ability to hear and understand audible alarms, changes in equipment noise, and radio communications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
