Business Performance Manager

Huntsman is seeking a Business Performance Manager to support the Advanced Materials Division in the Americas region. This role is responsible for driving shortterm financial delivery and longterm value creation through strong financial insight, performance management, and crossfunctional business partnering.

The Business Performance Manager ensures the quality, completeness, timeliness, and availability of financial and performance information, and works closely with Commercial, Marketing, Supply Chain, Pricing, and Purchasing teams to support margin improvement, forecasting accuracy, and strategic decisionmaking.

Key Responsibilities

As the Business Performance Manager, you will:

  • Provide financial and business performance support to the Americas region to drive shortterm financial results and longterm value creation.

  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and availability of financial data, forecasts, and performance insights.

  • Monitor customer and product profitability, using financial analysis and decisionmaking tools to identify value gaps, risks, and opportunities aligned with business strategy.

  • Partner closely with the Purchasing team to understand raw material cost movements and with the Pricing team to assess selling price dynamics, ensuring accurate incorporation into forecasts.

  • Collaborate with Marketing to understand market trends and assumptions supporting business growth projections.

  • Participate in monthly Demand Review meetings with Sales and Demand Management to ensure demand forecasts are supported by clear assumptions, risks, and opportunities.

  • Work with Sales and Supply Chain throughout the month to project monthend estimates for sales revenue and contribution margin.

  • Drive monthly and quarterly business performance reviews with regional leadership and commercial teams, providing clear insights and recommendations.

  • Support the adoption and ongoing use of Balanced Scorecard KPIs, including trend analysis across business functions to drive continuous improvement.

  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and decision support related to projects, opportunities, or emerging business issues.
  • Leading and mentoring a team.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.

Experience

  • 10 + years of progressive experience in business performance management, FP&A, or commercial finance, supporting a regional or multifunctional business.

  • Demonstrated experience partnering crossfunctionally with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Pricing, and Purchasing teams.

  • Proven experience in:

    • Financial performance management and forecasting

    • Customer and product profitability analysis

    • Margin improvement initiatives

    • Monthly and quarterly business reviews with senior leadership

  • Experience supporting demand planning and forecasting processes, including participation in Demand Review or S&OPtype forums.

  • Experience delivering ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions, projects, and risk mitigation.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to break complex issues into actionable insights.

  • Solid business acumen and understanding of commercial and operational drivers.

  • Ability to apply data and facts to develop multiple decision options independently.

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including the ability to constructively challenge assumptions and decisions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present insights clearly to nonfinance audiences.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across functions and levels.

  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to work under pressure and support peak business cycles.

Other Requirements

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.

  • Ability to work extended hours when business needs require.

  • Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including financial modeling, performance analysis, and executivelevel presentations.

  • Experience working with enterprise financial systems and planning tools to support forecasting and performance management.

  • Experience with SAP or comparable ERP systems in a finance or business performance environment.

  • Experience using business intelligence and reporting tools (e.g., SAP Business Objects, Power BI, Tableau, or similar) to analyze trends and monitor KPIs.

  • Experience supporting regional or global businesses in a complex, matrixed organization.

  • Exposure to manufacturing, chemicals, or industrial environments, with an understanding of margin drivers, raw material impacts, and pricing dynamics.
