Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense TS/SCI is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position
General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Proposal Manager. Join a team that is busy winning work. This position joins a group of seasoned proposal management professionals that supports a very active line of business. On average, our team develops and submits a proposal every 3 days. Ideal candidate thrives in a fast pace dynamic environment. Organizational and communication skills are paramount. This position will lead from the front and drive successful compliant proposals across our portfolio. The position provides an opportunity to enhance the performance and profitability of an organization that supports some of our nation's fundamental defense services. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:
Coordinates proposal development activities in collaboration with the Program Manager and Capture Manager
Analyzes RFPs to determine compliant response structure and format
Develops any required custom templates and/or formats
Lays out proposal across volumes (format, font, consistency) and creates actual volumes (electronic, paper form)
Facilitates and coordinates proposal team communications
Monitors graphics workflows to ensure compliance with RFP and template requirements, and proper placement of graphics
Tailors proposal SharePoint site to meet proposals unique requirements
Coordinates with Security and IT organizations to maintain control of author access to folders and facilities
Coordinates proposal reviews with Program Manager or Review Team Lead and prepares all proposal materials for the reviews
Prepares detailed delivery plans and checklists and coordinates final printing, electronic copy, assembly, and shipping
Typically assigned to large and/or strategically important proposals

Strong knowledge of missions, products and technologies including current and future applications

Target salary range: USD $131,319.00/Yr. - USD $142,091.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
