At Okta, we celebrate a variety of perspectives and experiences. We are not looking for someone who checks every single box - we're looking for lifelong learners and people who can make us better with their unique experiences.

Join our team! We're building a world where Identity belongs to you.

About the Internship:

We are looking for a data-curious, detail-oriented Paid Media Intern to join our Digital Paid Media team. You won't just be watching from the sidelines, you'll be helping manage real budgets across Google, Bing, and LinkedIn. This is a "hands on" internship where you'll learn the mechanics of digital advertising, from building campaigns to analyzing why an ad worked (or why it didn't).

What You'll Get to Do:

  • Campaign Execution: Assist in the technical setup and launch of live campaigns across Google, Bing, and LinkedIn.
  • Creative Coordination: Partner with the team to manage creative assets, ensuring we have the correct, up-to-date images and videos for every campaign.
  • Ad Copywriting & Auditing: Help manage our global paid search copy. You will write and review headlines and descriptions to ensure they are clear, follow Okta's brand voice and guidelines, and stay within search engine character limits and best practices.
  • Data & Reporting: Pull performance data into spreadsheets to help the team track key metrics like Cost per Click, Cost per Lead, and Conversion Rate.
  • Competitor Research: Analyze competitor ads and keywords and market behavior to identify new opportunities for us to improve our search rankings.

Who We are Looking For:

  • Current Student: Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program (Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, or Communications preferred) with an expected graduation date of either Dec. 2026 or May/June 2027.
  • Software Basics: Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets (organizing data and basic formulas) and Google Slides (building clean, simple decks for team updates).
  • Strong Writing: Ability to write clear and concise copy. You should be able to explain complex ideas in just a few words (essential for ad headlines).
  • Analytical Mindset: You enjoy looking at data to find patterns and are comfortable working with numbers.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in your work-you are the type of person who double-checks links and spelling before hitting "send."
  • Platform Curiosity: A basic understanding of the difference between a "paid" search result and an "organic" one.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple small tasks and deadlines at once without losing track of progress.

What you can look forward to as a Full-Time Okta employee!
