Job Description




As a Security Professional - Access Control in Brookhaven, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location where you will manage access control, greet drivers and visitors, verify credentials, and help maintain smooth entry and exit flow. You will monitor activity, document incidents, communicate clearly with site teams, and provide customer-focused support while performing security-related duties with integrity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license under AU Driver Policy Requirements.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Control access at entry and exit points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing sign-in and sign-out logs, and directing drivers and guests to proper check-in areas.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound traffic for the facility, including trucks and employee vehicles, helping to deter unauthorized entry by following established gate and dock access procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting events and notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of building areas, yard space, and perimeter, looking for irregular conditions and reporting findings per site-specific policy.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
