Currently recruiting an experienced Program Manager (PM) to lead a multi-site Government Medical Coding Program supporting the Defense Health Agency (DHA) and the Military Health System (MHS). This role oversees operational leadership, performance management, quality assurance, and compliance across a remote, geographically dispersed workforce. This position is fully remote.

DUTIES OF THE MEDICAL PROGRAM MANAGER:

  • Lead daily medical coding operations to meet performance, quality, and productivity standards.
  • Execute same-day operational adjustments including surge activation, workload balancing, and staff reallocations.
  • Maintain uninterrupted operations and enforce compliance.
  • Serve as Transition Lead for onboarding and contract start up.
  • Direct Transition Team Meetings and track deliverables.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities including CAC issuance and system access.
  • Act as primary liaison to COR and DHA leadership.
  • Deliver required reports, performance data, and risk updates.
  • Ensure on-time completion of all contract deliverables.
  • Oversee quality control, audit processes, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure alignment with DHA and MHS standards.
  • Lead and support a remote workforce.

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE PROGRAM MANAGER:

  • 5+ years leadership experience in medical coding or health information management.
  • Expertise in coding operations, quality management, and corrective actions.
  • Experience managing remote teams.
  • Eligible for CAC issuance.
  • Experience with DoD, DHA, VA, or federal healthcare programs.
  • Knowledge of DHA coding standards and MHS policies.
  • Certifications: RHIA, RHIT, CPC, CCS, PMP.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (for access to Government computer systems)
