Reporting to Director, Digital Marketing & Sales, this position will play a key role in developing our Search Engine Optimization Strategy, implementing on-page SEO best practices, creating and executing a B2C content strategy, drive conversion rate optimization, and report on various SEO KPIs along with increased APE production. This member will be highly technical from an SEO perspective and have the ability to manage partners, agencies, and contractors. With guidance from the manager and by working collaboratively with partners across Banner Life Insurance company, the SEO Manager will improve organic visibility and drive increased APE production from organic and direct channels.



Responsibilities

    Identify the total SEO traffic and revenue opportunity for Banner Life Insurance Company and create a strategy and set goals to capture that opportunity.
  1. Communicate your strategy, goals, and progress to goals in a written format to senior leaders and internal stakeholders
  2. SEO Optimization: Review technical SEO issues and recommend/implement fixes. Develop and execute successful SEO strategies.
  3. Conduct in-depth analyses of search engine data from first-party and third-party data sources (e.g., SEO traffic data, rankings data, search console data, etc)
  4. A/B Testing: Minor/significant tweaks to messaging to determine the right message for the right audience in social media, SEO, and SEM.
  5. Tracking: Align with analytics and vendors to determine A/B testing success rates. Track the quality score of Google to determine proper website changes were activated. Evaluate competitor ages to ensure SEO effectiveness.
  6. Direct off-page optimization projects (e.g. link-building)
  7. Conduct keyword research to develop and execute a Content Strategy.
  8. Stay up-to-date with the changing landscape for Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and execute a strategy to leverage the AI search results.
  9. Partner across the organization: As a critical contributor to the marketing team, this person will need to partner across the marketing team to ensure strategies and executions are coordinated where they need to be and gather key inputs and insights from areas required to be successful.
  10. Exhibit a strong sense of ownership, bias for action, and superior communication skills; be willing to roll up your sleeves to get the job done.


Qualifications

  • Experience in life insurance preferred, however not required
  • 3-5 years of experience in SEO
  • Strong experience in every facet of SEO: technical SEO, on-page factors, user experience, performance, etc.
  • Ability to work with internal customers and manage agencies
  • Handles the rejection of ideas with a growth mind-set.
  • Excellent analytical skills with demonstrated experience turning data into actionable insights.
  • Deep understanding of how search engines crawl, render, index, and rank web pages.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels within the organization
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with a focus on individual delivery dates

What's in it for you?

The expected hiring compensation range for this position is $90,800 - $124,900 annually. Preference given to local candidates to work in a hybrid opportunity working on EST. Remote will be considered.

The total compensation package for this position may include other elements, such as a sign-on bonus, long term incentives, and annual bonuses. This role is eligible to participate in the Annual Incentive Plan. The current target payment for the position is 8% of base salary, modified for corporate and individual performance. Bonuses are pro-rated based on start date. This role has 15 vacation days and 10 sick days that are accrued on a bi-weekly basis. Employees also have 9 paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
