Job Summary

The Billing Administrator I is responsible for clerical duties pertaining to car shopping information, training in car billing and assisting in communicating operational information from the field to corporate, regional management and customers and vendors as needed. This role will require the ability to multi-task and provide back-up assistance when needed to other Billing Administrators. The ideal candidate will have excellent administrative, customer service, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills and will demonstrate the ability to multi-task.

Job Duties

  • Train to serve as back up for data entry for railcar invoicing.
  • May be requested to train as back up in obtaining disposition for completed cars and creation of waybills per customers instructions.
  • Train and serve as back up to submit monthly and quarterly updates, and customer reports.
  • Provides administrative support and back-up assistance to Office Manager or Billing Manager.
  • Begin training/understanding of railcar terminology and AAR Field Manual Rules, Job Codes etc.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results and all duties as assigned.
  • Other office/clerical duties as needed.

Experience and Education

  • Minimum two (2) years of administrative experience
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Proficient in data entry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines on a consistent basis
  • Maintain high level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Proficient in both verbal and written English skil
