POSITION SUMMARY: The Risk & Insurance Analyst supports the execution and administration of the Company's property, casualty, and related insurance programs. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders and external service providers to assist with renewals, perform risk and loss analytics to support informed decision-making, review and negotiate contractual and lender-driven insurance requirements, and manage certificates of insurance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



  1. Supports the execution of the company's property, casualty, and related insurance programs by collecting, analyzing, validating, and maintaining accurate exposure data, coordinating underwriting submissions, and tracking open renewal items.
  2. Supports the insurance renewal strategy by analyzing and comparing year over year coverage terms, limits, retentions, and pricing, and by identifying data quality or exposure issues that may impact renewal outcomes.
  3. Develops reports to track and analyze total cost of risk, including premiums, retained losses, deductibles/self-insured retentions, and other allocated costs, to support informed insurance and risk management decisions.
  4. Analyzes loss data, claim trends, and exposure information to identify emerging risks and opportunities for mitigation.
  5. Reviews and interprets insurance requirements in loan agreements, leases, vendor contracts, and development agreements to ensure compliance.
  6. Serves as the primary point of contact with lenders on insurance related matters, including reviewing requirements, responding to inquiries, supporting exceptions, and facilitating loan closings.
  7. Tracks and monitors insurance compliance across the portfolio and coordinates with Finance and Development teams to resolve issues.
  8. Manages the certificate of insurance program by ensuring vendor and contractor compliance with required coverages, limits, endorsements, and additional insured provisions.
  9. Coordinates with internal teams and external partners to address insurance deficiencies or noncompliance in a timely manner.
  10. Performs other projects or duties as assigned by the supervisor.


QUALIFICATIONS:



  • 4+ years of experience in corporate risk management, insurance, or a related discipline, preferably within commercial real estate or a complex operating environment.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis or reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate loss trends, claims data, exposures, and overall risk.
  • Solid understanding of key commercial insurance coverages, including general liability, property, builder's risk, auto, and related lines.
  • Experience supporting property and casualty insurance renewals in collaboration with brokers and insurance carriers.
  • Proven ability to review, interpret, and ensure compliance with contractual and lender insurance requirements.
  • Experience managing certificates of insurance and monitoring vendor compliance.
  • Skilled in preparing clear, concise reports and communicating findings to leadership.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with internal teams and external partners such as lenders, brokers, and insurers.
  • Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.


PAY: $70,000 - $75,000/year + 5% bonus potential.
