Summary/Objective:

A line leader is responsible for directing, coaching, and motivating a group of team members to meet daily production goals and build interpersonal relationships in line with the Company's mission and Core Values.

Essential Functions:

  1. Abides OSHA and FSC rules and regulations for safety.
  2. Wear typical protection gear in an environment that contains dust, odors and noise.
  3. Work well under pressure.
  4. Supervise and assign work for employees.
  5. Involved with employee's performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
  6. Ensure orders are completed on time and inspect work for completeness by way of blueprints, picklist and orders.
  7. Train new hires to meet department and company standards.
  8. Communicate with other departments regarding status of projects via M2M, SFM and or ERP.
  9. Proficient in requirements of assigned department technical skills and abilities.
  10. Read orders and follow blueprint instructions.
  11. Select correct program and ensure proper setup.
  12. Verify correct material used for job.
  13. Perform a quality check of finished parts.
  14. Perform any routine maintenance if necessary.
  15. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Working Conditions:

  • Team members will work primarily indoors, may occasionally be outdoors and could be exposed to elements (heat, snow, dust, etc).
  • May sit or stand for several hours at a time.
  • May work indoors, office environment
  • Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active; standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing ladders. The team member may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time hourly position, and hours of work and days are decided by production schedules and your reporting manager.

Pay Rate: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour

Freedman by Lippert determines pay based on several factors, including but not limited to the position being offered, education, skills, work experience, and other factors permitted by law. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  1. High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  2. Experience with CNC Machines.
  3. Minimum of 5 years of experience and/or training; Or combination of education and experience.
  4. Attention to detail.
  5. Basic computer skills include Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
  6. Ability to read English.
  7. Ability to read blueprints, picklist, and orders.
  8. Must have strong math and metrology skills.
  9. Ability to work and communicate effectively with others.
