Position Overview:

TEAM is seeking a knowledgeable and solutions-focused Asset Integrity Engineer to support inspection planning, fitness-for-service assessments, corrosion evaluations, and risk-based inspection (RBI) programs. This role bridges the gap between field data and engineering analysis-translating inspection results into actionable engineering recommendations and long-term asset strategies. The ideal candidate is experienced in interpreting code requirements, managing integrity data management systems, and working across multi-disciplinary teams in various energy and industry fields.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Support mechanical integrity (MI) programs through analysis of inspection data, corrosion monitoring, and integrity assessments of pressure vessels, piping, storage tanks, and structural components.

* Review and interpret inspection reports (NDE, API, CWI, etc.) and generate engineering recommendations for repair, rerate, or continued service.

* Perform and document Fitness-for-Service (FFS) evaluations in accordance with API 579.

* Support or lead Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) initiatives using software platforms (e.g., PCMS, Meridium, Capstone, API RBI).

* Develop and maintain corrosion circuits, damage mechanism assessments (DMA), and inspection plans in collaboration with field inspectors and SMEs.

* Assist with root cause failure analyses (RCFA) and development of integrity operating windows (IOWs).

* Interface with client mechanical, reliability, and process engineering teams to ensure inspection strategies align with asset conditions and operational goals.

* Participate in audits, QA/QC checks, and technical procedure development.

Preferred Qualifications:

* API 510, 570, 653 certifications (or direct experience supporting these programs).

* Experience with corrosion analysis, materials selection, or coatings/lining failure analysis.

* Prior work supporting refinery, petrochemical, midstream, or power facility MI programs.

* Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, Crystal Reports, etc.).

* Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) designation (a plus).

* Current TWIC, OSHA 10/30, or other industry-standard safety certifications.

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Materials Engineering, or related technical discipline.

* 3+ years of experience in asset integrity, pressure equipment inspection, or corrosion engineering in industrial environments.

* Working knowledge of relevant codes and standards (API 510, 570, 579, 653, ASME B31.3/Section VIII).

* Familiarity with MI data systems and inspection planning tools (IDMS, RBI software, etc.).

* Ability to analyze inspection data and provide actionable, code-compliant engineering decisions.

* Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to generate accurate reports and interface with multi-level stakeholders.

* Ability to travel, work extended hours, and operate in field environments including confined spaces, elevated work areas, and extreme weather.

* Strong work ethic with a safety-first mindset.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

* Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.

* Sufficient personal mobility to maneuver in a standard, refinery or plant environment to include the ability to access elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells except when performing non-field duties.

* Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits employees to communicate effectively.

* Sufficient vision or other powers of observation, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits employees to investigations.

Work Conditions

* Position is based out of a TEAM field office or client site location.

* Field duties require indoor and outdoor work in a plant atmosphere.

* Interaction with other crew employees, as well as supervisors and client personnel.

* Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels.

* Able to wear safety equipment for any task and as required by the safety department for personal protection.

* May be at more than one job site in a day and must be able to tolerate climate changes.

* May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis.

* Willingness and ability to work extended shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules as required.

* Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various environmental conditions.

Additional Job Description

Anticipated compensation for this role is $100,000.00- $160,000.00 per year plus benefits.
Note: Disclosure as required by Cal. Lab. Code * 432.3 of the pay range for this role when being hired into our locations in California. Team reserves the right to pay more or less than the pasted range. Actual compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and geography.
