THE ROLE
Reporting to the GM & Salesforce Global Head of Private Equity & Venture Capital Practice, you will be responsible for building and driving engagements with Salesforce's strategic Private Equity (PE) Partners. Salesforce's PE Practice works with our PE Firm Operating Partners to accelerate value creation in their portfolio companies through digital transformation - especially around AI as a key new lever - leveraging the Salesforce platform, Agentforce/Data360 and the broader ecosystem. In your role, you will serve as a single point of contact for a patch our PE Partners into Salesforce. Given the Global nature of Private Equity, the Firms Operating Partners are located in AMER, but there will be portfolio companies and OU Distribution teams outside of Amer that you and Relationship Managers reporting to you, will need to interface and work with. You will be responsible for building and managing these PE firm relationships, commercially negotiating on behalf of the portfolio, ensuring governance, ensuring your Relationship Managers are working together with their Tech SWAT partners to be trusted Digital and AI Advisors and monitoring the Salesforce success of our PE partners' portfolio companies. As a Senior Director, you will originate new opportunities and influence sales cycles through a value selling approach that takes into consideration the specific transformation needs per portfolio company. You will proactively propose Value Creation opportunities across the portfolio and curate the "Best of Salesforce" through our Tech SWAT, account teams, and industry experts and train/coach/advise account teams and ecosystem partners on how to effectively sell to private equity owned companies. You will provide input into growth marketing, develop. thought leadership content and develop innovation programs to raise Salesforce's profile in the Private Equity industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with our strategic Private Equity Partners, acting as the Single Point of Contact into Salesforce for your patch of Private Equity firms

  • Act as an advocate and be an "agent of change" and a trusted digital adivsor for the partnership within the Private Equity firm and at Salesforce

  • Leverage your significant experience in guiding executive teams towards transformation and helping both the AI technical Operating Partners and traditional non-technical OPs understand how technology can impact their world

  • Build a high energy team that embodies Salesforce values and understands how to work across Salesforce.

  • Build strong relationships across key Salesforce organizations necessary for our success and impact: Distribution, Customer Success, FinOps

  • Build strong relationships with our Tech SWAT Team; partnering successfully to generate Incremental - new pipe - and bring them to Account Teams.

  • Support our Private Equity Partners in due diligence to quickly develop growth strategies for carve outs and new acquisitions

  • Post announcement, work with the portfolio company to rethink business and operating model opportunities and align Salesforce capabilities

  • Develop proactive programs bringing Portcos together with PE Firms and multiple Sales Teams to orchestrate and tap into the AI Mandate within PE today.

  • Understand the Salesforce product suite and be able to ideate the optimal solutions to accelerate time to value in Private Equity portfolio companies; with a focus on Agentforce and Data360.

  • Define and execute the go-to-market plan for each Private Equity with clear success metrics around Incremental, Agentforce/Data 360 and new logos.

  • Collaborate and communicate closely with our top OU AVPs, RVPs, their Sales leadership to ensure strategic alignment with the Salesforce growth plans in region; extend our initial OU Engagement Strategy into more collaboration and co-events.

  • Be able to clearly articulate the value of Salesforce, Agentforce, Data Cloud 360 across B2B and B2C Private Equity owned portfolio companies

  • Understand the intricacies, politics, and strategies required to execute a PE partersnhip with Framework Agreements,

  • Lead commercial partnership negotiations on behalf of Salesforce, both defining and executing the deal structures that work in each given situation

  • Coach sales account managers around business plans, pricing, positioning aligned to your Private Equity partners' portfolio companies to drive value creation and grow the pipeline

  • Manage the regional PE firm stakeholder relationships at PE firms where Salesforce has established Global Private Equity Partnerships; drive new partnerships, grow existing partnerships.

  • Promote market awareness on Salesforce's innovation and Private Equity value propositions internally and externally through speaking and promotional thought leadership events and content.

  • Orchestrate internal and external portfolio performance reviews to assess operational metrics/effectiveness and AI readiness on a recurring basis with Firm leadership

  • Leverage all the Salesforce resources needed to ensure portfolio company customer success

  • Manage a virtual team (internal and external) to deliver a compelling vision of our solution, including a clearly articulated business case

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • You are proficient in developing C-level connections and gaining deep insight into the business dynamics of large complex enterprises and can help shape customers growth and change agenda, as well as foresee organizational impacts brought by technology; especially around Automation & AI.

  • You will have exceptional communication, strategic, analytical, influencing, and consulting skills, as well as a track record of building and leading complex, multi-disciplinary teams and build strong collaborative relationships across an organization.

  • You will have experience influencing decisions in Mergers, Acquisitions, Divestitures, Carve outs and/or the Private Equity market.

  • You will be confident discussing IRR, ROI, TCO, business case development in the context of LBOs.

  • You will have a strong understanding of the sales ecosystem; strategy, methods, cadence, reporting etc. and be proficient in producing accurate forecasts, and business plans while maintaining a focus on team development and growth.

  • You will have a track record of delivering measurable results, regularly meeting or exceeding targets

  • You have strong tolerance for ambiguity; ability to focus and execute in a rapidly changing environment, take charge and make things happen.

  • You will be an independent, self-starter with strong work ethic and personal drive and character qualities that match with our company's core values and inspire others to follow and act

  • You will have a superior ability to build and maintain positive working relationships exhibiting Salesforce values of Trust with customers, across peers and constituent.s. .

  • You will have a willingness to travel on as-needed basis >30% of the time

  • You will be degree educated with excellent business/professional English communication skills.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

  • 7-10 years of internal Salesforce Distribution experience that has a led a team of AE's successfully through change, ideally most recently with Data 360 and Agentforce.

  • Masters of Business Administration or equivalent Masters Degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or Management from a top institution

  • Top tier consulting firm background, with significant M&A, strategy or digital transformation experience

  • Experience leading an enterprise digital transformation in either B2B or B2C

  • Experience in business development in the Private Equity, Venture Capital or M&A industry
