SUMMARY: The Foreign Exchange Sales professional is responsible for supporting the bank's Capital Markets FX business by pricing and executing foreign exchange transactions, supporting client onboarding, and maintaining strong client and internal stakeholder relationships. The role contributes to revenue growth, sales strategy execution, regulatory compliance, and market communication efforts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties and special projects may be assigned.

Client and Sales Support



  • Prices and executes FX spot, forward, and swap transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Provides high quality customer service to clients.
  • Supports onboarding activities including documentation, credit line coordination, and platform demonstrations.
  • Assists with client education, presentations, and market related communication.


Internal Collaboration & Business Development



  • Partners with internal stakeholders across the bank to support client needs and cross sell opportunities.
  • Supports the Director of Capital Markets with business development and expansion of FX products and services.
  • Contributes to a collaborative, team-oriented work environment.


Market, Risk, & Compliance Responsibilities



  • Maintains working knowledge of FX markets, products, and risk considerations.
  • Monitors and adheres to regulatory requirements, including Dodd Frank, AML, and internal compliance standards.
  • Prepares or contributes to daily market commentary and related communications.
  • Identifies and reports suspicious activity per BSA/AML and USA PATRIOT Act requirements.


Analytics & Reporting



  • Assists with revenue and performances reporting for Capital Markets activities.
  • Conducts analysis to support sales strategies and effectiveness.
  • Adheres to and complies with applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to anti-money laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, etc.).
  • Adheres to Bank policies and procedures and completes required training.
  • Identifies and reports suspicious activity.


EDUCATION

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field required MBA or relevant certifications (eg, CFA) preferred.

EXPERIENCE



  • Minimum 3+ years of FX sales, trading, operations, or treasury experience in a financial institution required.
  • Experience working with FX products and clients required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Bloomberg and FX trading platforms required.
  • FX sales or trading experience within a regional or super regional bank preferred.
  • Established corporate client relationships in New York, Florida, or the Southeast preferred.

  • Strong understanding of FX products (spot, forwards, swaps) and market fundamentals, required.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, required.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, required.
  • Ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships, required.
  • Familiarity with risk management principles and regulatory requirements, required.
  • High level of professionalism, sound judgment, and attention to detail, required.
