These roles focus on helping patients recover from injuries, illnesses, or surgeries and improve their physical, emotional, and functional well-being. Involves assessing, planning, and providing therapeutic interventions to enhance patients' abilities to perform daily activities and achieve their rehabilitation goals.
These roles are responsible for evaluating, treating, and caring for patients with breathing and cardiopulmonary disorders. Respiratory therapists provide oxygen therapy, manage ventilators, conduct breathing exercises, and monitor lung function to ensure patients receive optimal respiratory care. Represents people leaders (hire/fire authority) with majority of time spent overseeing their area of responsibility. Achieve goals through direct and/or indirect reports. Manages/Supervises professional level employees within a Job Area. Focuses on tactical and operational plans and strategy with short to mid-term focus. Develops solutions to moderately complex problems, and may escalate more complex issues to higher level management. Ensures that staff is utilized efficiently and daily work projects are completed on time and within budget. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor's degree required. Master's Degree in related field within 5 years Experience: 5 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT); 5 years of experience as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or Sleep Disorders Testing and Therapeutic Intervention Respiratory Care Specialist (RRT-SDS) required for the Sleep Disorders Center. Management/Supervisory experience preferred. Licensure: Active National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) or Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) credentials as described and a current license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia (if required for the discipline) required. May require a valid Virginia Driver's License. The starting base rate for this role is $82,720.00 annually.
