General Profile

• Plans, designs, and maintains facility infrastructure and equipment to meet the needs of an organization.
• Utilizes CAD software and engineering principles to design and communicate specifications for facility modifications, new development, or equipment.
• Analyzes specifications and requirements to establish facility plans and estimate design costs.
• Researches and sources the equipment and materials required for the facility, verifying specification requirements and adherence to budget allotment.
• Maintains expert knowledge of building codes, environmental standards, and safety regulations to ensure compliance throughout all design activities.

Manage capital projects for property, building and equipment.Update SOPs.Maintain facility CAD drawings for mechanical, electrical, and structural details.Manage contractors and internal labor to meet project completion goals.Troubleshoot processes, equipment and building operation issues utilizing root cause and resolution methods.Manage and execute action plans.

• Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 0-3 years' experience
• Discipline/Major: Engineering degree required
• Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

• Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Construction Management
• Knowledge, skills & abilities: Building Codes and Regulations. BIM - Building Information Modeling. Capacity Planning/ Civil Engineering. Cost Estimation. Infrastructure Lifecycle Management. Requirements Engineering/Analysis, Equipment Evaluation. Facilities Engineering. Safe Design. HVAC Design. CAD Software. Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) Software.

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
• Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
• Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
