Maintenance Technician - Automated Manufacturing

Location: Irvine, CA

Shift: 2nd Shift | 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM

Pay: $29.70/hour (all inclusive)

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to support highly automated, advanced manufacturing operations in Irvine, California. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced production environment, ideal for a skilled technician who enjoys troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and working with cutting-edge automation technology.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repair, setup, operation, and maintenance of automated manufacturing equipment used in high-volume production. Equipment includes laser welding systems, PCB handling and testing equipment, metal stamping and bending machinery, and high-speed discrete component assembly systems. This role plays a critical part in ensuring equipment reliability, product quality, and overall manufacturing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform mechanical and electromechanical troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repairs
• Execute preventative and corrective maintenance with minimal supervision
• Support equipment setup, changeovers, and operator assistance
• Maintain detailed documentation in the maintenance management system
• Conduct safety and equipment inspections and ensure compliance with quality standards
• Assist with installation, start-up, and debugging of new automation systems
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to resolve process issues

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of maintenance or repair experience in manufacturing, medical devices, automotive, HVAC, or similar environments
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using hand tools
• Basic computer skills (MS Office)
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with automated equipment, HMIs, sensors, and measurement tools
• Familiarity with laser welding, crimping, swaging, and precision assembly processes
