DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across various facilities, including restrooms, bathhouses, offices, and overnight accommodations. Your duties will involve thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting toilets, sinks, showers, floors, and walls to ensure a sanitary environment. Additionally, you will scrub, dust, and polish floors, furniture, and fixtures within park buildings, while also ensuring that restroom supplies are replenished as needed. Waste management is a key aspect of your role, which includes disposing of waste paper, emptying garbage cans throughout the park, replacing garbage bags, and properly disposing of trash in designated dumpsters. You will operate a pickup truck or utility vehicle to transport cleaning equipment across the park, and you will be tasked with replacing light bulbs and performing minor repairs on buildings and equipment, or reporting any significant repair needs to your supervisor.
Furthermore, you will actively contribute to the park's aesthetics by picking up litter along roadways, around buildings, and in grassy areas, as well as moving furniture and equipment, delivering supplies, and running errands as required. Seasonal tasks will also be part of your responsibilities, including shoveling snow, sweeping, and cleaning walkways, along with mowing and trimming grass to maintain the park's landscape. Lastly, you will ensure that park vehicles are kept clean and well-maintained, performing related duties as necessary to support the overall upkeep of the park.

- This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. There is not an option to buy into health care benefits. The season runs from approximately April 2026 until October 2026 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay. The employee will automatically be returned to employment April 2027.
- Work days/shifts will vary, will work 5 days/37.5 hours per week to include holidays and weekends.
