Department Summary The College of Health and Public Service (HPS) at the University of North Texas prepares graduates to address diverse and complex social issues such as aging, disability, disaster management and recovery, criminal justice, health disparities and public safety, and find solutions to challenges in public administration, public health, exercise physiology and urban design. Position Overview The Department of Social Work in the College of Health & Public Service invites applications for a professional track, full-time Clinical Assistant Professor. Responsibilities include teaching in the graduate and undergraduate programs, with the option for leadership responsibilities as the MSW Program Director for the right candidate. The candidate selected for this position will be expected to engage in high-quality and innovative instruction in both traditional and non-traditional formats; serve as appropriate on department, college, university and professional committees; engage in scholarly and professional activities. Minimum Qualifications * Master's degree in social work from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accredited Social Work program and a minimum of two years full-time professional practice experience (post-Master's degree) Preferred Qualifications * Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or DSW); Required License/Registration/Certifications Physical Requirements Communicating with others to exchange information.
