We are in search of a Facilities Maintenance Project Manager to support our remote Florida facilities. The Facilities team is chartered with evaluating customer requirements, effectively planning the space, supporting occupation and maintaining the current industrial and office spaces.

Your collaboration will be crucial to ensuring operational excellence in the construction, setup, maintenance, and handling of the facility and equipment. This role demands hands-on high technical expertise, leadership, and organizational skills to match our rapid design, analysis, and integration pace.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily maintenance and repairs of physical buildings, manage contracted facilities staff, and coordinate with 20+ vendors/contractors.
  • Lead the development and implementation of preventive maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) programs within the CMMS for company facilities.
  • Schedule all preventative maintenance, repair and site support services.
  • Interact with landlords of leased spaces in support of Blue Origin employees.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives, report on performance metrics.
  • Develop and manage short- and long-term plans for maintenance, repairs, and capital expenses for facilities.
  • Provide matrixed support for engineering and construction efforts at associated sites, including site QA/AC of projects, design review, commissioning participation and other duties necessary to support Team Blue.
  • Negotiate with outside vendors and contractors, generate Statements of Work, and coordinate requests for proposals with Procurement.
  • Review existing contracted services and work scope to identify potential cost improvements and performance enhancements.
  • Assist Facilities leadership in evaluating maintenance services strategies.
  • Maintain a high level of best-in-class safety standards for team and facilities.
  • Have budget responsibility for approximately $2.5M+ annually for services, repairs, and upgrades.
  • Building coverage support responsibility: Leased office, research & development, and warehouse space (8 properties/625K square feet).

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience maintaining, supervising maintenance personnel and managing maintenance programs of complex industrial facilities and infrastructure.
  • Industry-recognized certification in maintenance management preferred (AFE-CPMM, IFMA-CFM).
  • Demonstrated maintenance and construction project management experience, Certified Project Manager (PMP) preferred.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience.
  • Working knowledge of an EAMS or CMMS system (Maximo a plus).
  • Strong vendor management skillset.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite.

  • Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
