Shipping and Receiving Associate

Prepares shipments, bills of lading, and dray tickets for all carriers; receives and verifies items against receiving documents. Moves material to bins or designated waiting areas, uses correct prescribed storing methods, rearranges and takes inventory of materials. Examines stock for deterioration, operates material and handling equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

* Receives inventory, pulls items from bins/storage area for orders.

* Loads/unloads material on or from trucks or other vehicles.

* Manages inventory.

* Prepares bill of lading, shipping documents.

* Fits hoses/couplings.

* Keeps warehouse clean.

* Resolves customer complaints.

* Operates forklift, and other lifting devices.

* Pick up and/or make deliveries locally.

* Manages shipping/receiving duties.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS - SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Experience should demonstrate proficiencies in the following areas:

* Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.

* Actively attend to, convey, and understand the comments and questions of other.

* Accept responsibility for his/her actions.

* Ability to take care of the customers' needs while following company procedures.

* Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety.

Education: High School Graduate or equivalent,

Experience: 2 years shipping and receiving experience in hydraulics, distribution, or a related field. Working knowledge of ERP software applications (Oracle, SAP, P21) and Microsoft office suite.

Skills taught after hire as needed:

Computer System Training, ISO orientation, Product Training, H.H. Forklift Training Certified, OSHA

Safety intro (6 courses)

Certificates & Licenses:
HH Forklift Certified

Other Requirements:

Valid Driver's License, Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
