Responsibilities

The Credit Regulatory Oversight Specialist position will have responsibilities over coordinating regulatory oversight with business lines. The specialist will work with the Credit Policy and Regulatory Oversight Director to ensure regulatory compliance and serve as a representative for the bank to regulatory agencies, Internal Audit, Loan Review, and selfidentified remediation plans to meet the requirements of regulatory expectations. This role will be responsible for monitoring regulatory developments, conducting risk assessments, and facilitating examination coordination. They may also be engaged in supporting audits and examinations.

This role will perform portfolio analysis to assess Old National's credit risk and coordinate interactions relating to credit with external regulators and internal examiners and auditors. The position requiring strong ownership of regulatory obligations, proactive risk identification, rigorous documentation, timely escalation, and consistent execution aligned with the bank's risk appetite.

Salary Range

The annual salary range for this position is $81,700.00 - $165,100.00. The base salary indicated for this position reflects the compensation range applicable to all levels of the role across the United States. Actual salary offers within this range may vary based on a number of factors, including the specific responsibilities of the position, the candidate's relevant skills and professional experience, educational qualifications, and geographic location.

Key Accountabilities

Regulatory Compliance & Examination Coordination

    Coordinates examinations and leads projects with collaboration from the Credit Policy Director to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Tracks internal and external examination cycles and coordinates response recommendations with the 1st and 2nd Lines of Defense.
  • Serves as the point of communication with regulators, internal auditors, and examiners for assigned credit segments; resolves recommendations and MRAs.
  • Works with and implements directives from regulatory agencies.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and guidance.
  • Serve as subject matter expert/lead regarding credit line of business initiatives, focused on regulatory exams and heightened standards.
  • Demonstrates heightened accountability for documentation completeness, accuracy, and timeliness, consistent with business risk and heightenedstandards expectations.
  • Ensures issues, gaps, and emerging risks are escalated promptly and remediated according to regulatory expectations and internal governance requirements.

Risk Management & Policy Influence

  • Partners with the Credit Policy and Oversight team, business line leaders, Risk, and Compliance to oversee adherence to the risk management framework.
  • Ensures active identification, response, and/or escalation of risks as appropriate.
  • May influence policies and procedures in alignment with the bank's strategic plan and risk appetite to minimize regulatory exposure.
  • May assist in enhancing processes and procedures as needed.
  • Executes responsibilities with sound risk judgment and a riskfirst mindset, ensuring decisions reflect ONB's risk appetite and Heightened Standards.
  • Ensures adequate controls, monitoring routines, and testing procedures are in place to meet regulatory expectations and minimize operational, compliance, and reputational risk.

Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory Support

  • Accountable for effective partnerships between Credit Administration, Lines of Business, and Lines of Defense.
  • Consults with and provides analytical support to bankers, analysts, the Credit Policy Director, and the Chief Credit Officer on credit issues and questions.
  • Actively stays abreast of regulatory developments and ensures key stakeholders are informed of changes impacting business lines or departments.
  • Provides credible challenge to business lines and partners to ensure alignment with regulatory obligations, risk appetite, and governance expectations.
  • Supports a culture of risk ownership, transparency, and disciplined execution across stakeholder groups.

Training & Development Coordination

  • Coordinates the identification of training needs.
  • Works with HR to develop or source training from external providers.
  • Coordinates delivery of training.
  • Helps ensure training content and execution meet heightenedstandards requirements for documentation, comprehension, and consistency across business lines.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience and 8 years of relatable credit experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of laws, regulations, and regulatory trends that impact the financial services industry.
  • Understanding of risk and control environments.
  • Knowledge of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise independent sound risk judgment and provide advisory guidance regarding heightenedstandards expectations.
