Responsibilities

Provo Canyon School is a psychiatric residential treatment facility serving youth who may be dealing with emotional, behavioral or academic challenges. We work with boys and girls ages 12 through 17. For more than 40 years, we have continued to enhance, expand and improve services and resources for our students and their families.

As the Assistant Program Director, you will ensure compliance through the following (but not limited to):

  • Meeting with Program Managers weekly to review quality programming
  • Ensuring training compliance for all staff on unit
  • Completing audits and rounding regularly to meet regulatory standards
  • Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring student life staff
  • Monitoring proper completion of Q15's
  • Adhering to school and professional expectations and guidelines
  • Demonstrate communication and ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree, Master's degree preferred. Basic management or supervisory skills; skills in residential supervision and training; experience in and philosophical commitment to, inpatient care; experience in outpatient, Partial Hospitalization and other services within the continuum of care helpful; skills in interpreting and applying standards and regulations applicable to programs and services (e.g. The Joint Commission, CMS, DHS Office of Licensing); public speaking or teaching/training skills desired; organizational, time management, problem-solving, crisis management, and team-building skills necessary; basic fiscal and personnel management skills useful; flexibility, creativity, and ability to manage stress necessary; skills in maintaining information as highly confidential.
