Job Description




As a Security Officer Flex Petrochemical Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine mobile patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to alarms, access questions, and unusual activity. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. Bring clear communication and strong customer service while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity and a people-first culture.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities for a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, labs, loading and parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards, leaks, or abnormal conditions to be reported per site protocol.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, authorizing visitor/vendor entry, issuing badges, and documenting deliveries and/or contractor activity in accordance with site requirements.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems, and communicate observations to the appropriate contacts while maintaining detailed logs and incident reports.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications, assisting with site evacuations or shelter-in-place instructions when directed, and supporting first responders upon arrival.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
