Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Healthcare Patrol in Tucson, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols and maintain a visible presence that helps reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and calls for service, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff, patients, and visitors while delivering customer-focused support. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
  • Perform armed patrol duties in accordance with Allied Universal policies, state and local laws, and location-specific post orders, including maintaining required firearms qualifications.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical-related disturbances, disorderly conduct, and access control issues, and notify emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access, loitering, and other security-related concerns; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Complete security-related reports and logs, communicate key information to supervisors and/or client contacts, and assist with investigations by documenting observations and preserving information per policy.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
