The Opportunity

The Technical Architect designs and delivers end-to-end digital experience and commerce solutions using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Adobe Commerce. Acting as a technology advisor, this role guides clients in architectural decisions, platform integrations, and implementation strategies for measurable business impact. The architect oversees solution design throughout discovery, development, deployment, and optimization phases, collaborating with business consultants, project managers, and engineering teams to ensure alignment with client objectives and Adobe best practices.

Focusing on content and commerce, the Technical Architect unifies content management and commerce across channels, defines integration patterns, and leads technical frameworks to deliver seamless omnichannel experiences. The role also supports sales teams with solution estimation and scoping, requiring strong technical expertise, leadership, and cross-team collaboration.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as an expert in AEM and Adobe Commerce.

  • Lead technical design, develop scalable solution architecture in complex digital marketing projects

  • Act as a trusted advisor, support clients on complex solution design and implementation best practices.

  • Support sales in solution architecture, scoping, and challenge mitigation.

  • Assess client environments and analyze project issues. Drive decision-making on critical technical topics.

  • Oversee integration between Adobe platforms and third-party systems.

  • Lead multiple engagements, overseeing and mentoring technical teams.

  • Improve delivery methodologies and contribute to practice development.

  • Stay up to date on product releases and new technologies.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • 10+ years in software development/architecture, including 5+ years as Technical Architect with Adobe Commerce/AEM.

  • Consulting experience and customer leadership skills.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

  • Experience building team environments and mentoring others.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $164,600 -- $309,900 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. In New York, the pay range for this position is $214,000 - $309,900

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
