Job Summary:

The Finishing General Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of hourly employees engaged in the finishing operations of cast iron pipe. This role functions in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment and ensures safe, efficient, and highquality operations while leading employees performing physically demanding work in harsh conditions.

Pay rate between $75,000 to $85,000.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned.

• Supervise and coordinate finishing operations and direct 15-20 hourly employees.
• Ensure employees understand and follow verbal and written instructions and procedures.
• Function effectively in a fastpaced, multitasking, and highpressure environment.
• Examine materials at various stages of the finishing process.
• Observe machinery and finishing operations for safety and efficiency.
• Interpret specifications and customer requirements.
• Adjust work procedures to improve productivity and quality.
• Resolve production and personnel issues.
• Maintain accurate time and production records.
• Ensure production levels are met while maintaining safety standards.
• Work closely with Maintenance and other Supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure completion of all required employee training, including JSAs, safety talks, and Pure Safety.
• Conduct safety audits and enforce lockout/tagout procedures.
• Discipline hourly employees in accordance with company policies.
• Interpret and enforce safety regulations and company policies.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with applicable laws and organizational guidelines.

• Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production setting.
• Experience in a heavy industrial environment (foundry, steel, manufacturing, or similar) strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work in highheat, harsh, and laborintensive conditions.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Proven leadership experience in supervising physically demanding operations.
• Strong understanding of industrial safety practices and compliance requirements.
• Strong computer skills and attention to detail.
