Overview
Greenwich Hospital is seeking a dedicated Per Diem, OnCall Emergency Department / ConsultationLiaison Psychiatrist to join our collaborative and patientcentered Psychiatry team. The psychiatrist will provide psychiatric coverage for the Emergency Department as well as ConsultationLiaison services for patients on the medical floors. Please note: Greenwich Hospital does not have an inpatient psychiatric unit. In this consultative role, the psychiatrist will deliver a broad range of therapeutic interventions to a diverse patient population. Responsibilities include:
Patients requiring inpatient psychiatric admission are transferred to partner hospitals in Connecticut and New York, with Case Management coordinating all transfers Important Role Structure (Please Read Before Applying)

Why Choose Yale School of Medicine: Excellent work environment - Greenwich Hospital is a 206-bed regional medical center serving Fairfield County in Connecticut and Westchester County in New York. It is a major academic affiliate of Yale School of medicine and a member of Yale New Haven Health. Since opening in 1903, Greenwich Hospital has evolved into a progressive medical center and teaching institution with an internal medicine residency program. The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at Greenwich Hospital comprises four services. The Outpatient Clinic provides medication management and individual therapy to adult and geriatric patients who contend with a wide range of psychiatric diagnoses including depressive, anxiety, bipolar, psychotic disorders and those facing challenges unique to the aging process. The Addiction Recovery Center (ARC) is a group-based outpatient program serving those with substance use disorders. ARC offers a 3-day per week IOP program as well as less intensive levels of care. Medication-Assisted Treatments including buprenorphine-naloxone are offered in addition to medication management for co-morbid psychiatric diagnoses while patients are enrolled in the program. The Center for Behavioral and Nutritional Health is an outpatient program offering individual and group therapy to promote sustainable psychological, behavioral, and nutritional changes necessary for overall health management and reduction in the risk of developing complications associated with acute and chronic medical conditions.
