About the role

Job Description

The CDL Class A Driver is responsible for shuttling nonhazardous waste using a straightbody truck, primarily moving boxes to the TTF. This includes loading and dropping boxes in tight spaces, hooking cables, operating hydraulics, and securing doors. Drivers may occasionally operate rolloff or tanker equipment as needed. This is a fulltime, homedaily position with a Monday-Friday schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Operate commercial vehicles safely while following all DOT regulations and company policies.
  • Shuttle and transport nonhazardous materials between facilities, including shortdistance movements to the TTF and periodic longerdistance runs as needed.
  • Load, secure, drop, and maneuver boxes in tight areas using straightbody equipment and hydraulic controls.
  • Complete and maintain documentation, including inspection reports, logs, and job sheets.
  • Conduct daily pretrip and posttrip inspections of tires, lights, brakes, fluids, and equipment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support transportation and facility operations.

Shift Details

  • Monday-Friday | 6:30 AM - 4:00 PM
  • One weekend shift per month

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Minimum of 2 years of CDL driving experience.
  • Valid CDL Class A.
  • Tanker and HazMat endorsements preferred but not required.
  • Straightbody or rolloff experience strongly preferred.
  • Van experience preferred over flatbed due to tighter maneuvering needs.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • Ability to use a tablet for electronic logs (ELogs).
  • Preference for drivers without an automaticonly restriction.

Physical Demands of the Role

  • Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb for extended periods.
  • Ability to grip, reach, push, pull, and lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
  • Adequate visual and hearing capability.
