Engineering Technician V. This technician performs non-routine and complex assignments involving responsibility for planning and conducting a complete project of relatively limited scope or a portion of a larger and more diverse project, recommends and adapts plans, techniques, designs, or layouts, contacts personnel in related activities to resolve problems and coordinate the work, reviews, analyzes, and integrates the technical work of others. Supervisor or professional engineer outlines objectives, requirements, and design approaches. Completed work is reviewed for technical adequacy and satisfaction of requirements. This technician may train and be assisted by lower level technicians, and performs one or a combination of the following:

Maintain security clearance to handle classified material through Central Materiel Management. Deliver packages (classified or other).

Receive package and freight from all shipping companies for all of RX complex.

Assist customers with inbound and outbound shipments.

Manage Central Receiving Data Base records

Ensure personnel entering loading dock area are authorized to have building access (confirm proper identification). Non routine authorized visitors shall be escorted by this technician or this contractor's assigned representative technician. Additionally sign-in and issue temporary visitor badges.

Receive, inspect, process, and distribute incoming packages while verifying and securing classified documents and packages. Maintain and ensure security of Central Receiving Area by confirming the identity of all personnel and issuing badges and escorts for select visitors.

Provides input to WRS QA and AFRL/CV on the annual AFRL Logistics Standardization and Evaluation Program (LSEP). Standardization throughout all the AFRL sites is essential when evaluating trends and issues with the General Logistics Program.

Requirements

  • Due to Federal Contracting requirements, applicant must be a U.S. citizen.
  • At least 2 years' experience overseeing central shipping and receiving
  • High School Diploma
  • Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance
