SUMMARY

The Commercial Lines Customer Service Agent - Small Business performs the essential functions of the position, which include supporting the agency sales team and agency renewal and new business service teams. They will optimize small business renewals through managing the small business renewal process and nurturing client relationships. This position must meet sales, service, and quality standards adopted by the agency.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

1. Service Commercial Lines Book of Business

  • Endorsements
  • Billing/payments (invoice transactions, record payments, prepare finance agreements)
  • Claims
  • Create new/renewal business submissions
  • Loss runs (create letters, order loss runs / obtain/order experience modifiers)
  • Gather & help complete supplemental applications & supporting documentation
  • Issue certificates, evidence of insurance, auto id cards and binders
  • Check and mail out policies
  • Create proposals for agent- if needed
  • Cancellation tracking and processing (pending and cancelled)
  • Audit tracking
  • Bond

2. Remarkets

3. Quote account rounds for existing CL business

4. Keep up with carrier updates and underwriting information

Education and Work Experience
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • College degree preferred
  • Industry knowledge preferred
  • Obtain and maintain applicable licensing
  • Insurance designation preferred
Technical/Functional Competencies
  • Proficient in PC operating systems- Applied Epic
  • Proficient Microsoft office
  • Knowledge of and experience with Carrier websites
  • Knowledge of and experience with Comparative rater websites
