Overview

EH&S is seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to support its Environmental Programs team. The selected candidate must demonstrate strong clerical, organizational, and communication skills, along with excellent computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and key enterprise systems. This solutionfocused individual will assist with data entry, QA/QC, reporting, and various administrative and compliancerelated activities. Familiarity with systems such as Maximo, SharePoint, and other environmental tracking tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities
  • The selected candidate must possess excellent computer, clerical, followup, and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills are essential for interacting with internal teams and external customers and vendors.
  • Must demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities.
  • Must be able to quickly learn and become proficient in various systems used for data entry, document management, and administrative functions (e.g., Maximo, RCRAInfo, eManifest, SharePoint, Oracle, HSI Chemical Reporting System).
  • Perform data entry for Hazardous, NonHazardous, Construction & Demolition (C&D), and Universal Waste streams.
  • Maintain quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) for waste data.
  • Investigate and resolve errors identified during QA/QC activities by following up with responsible parties.
  • Collect data, organize documents, and prepare reports for regulatory submittal such as Quarterly HW Taxes and Annual Hazardous Waste Reports.
  • Follow up on automated notifications to ensure compliance across individuals and business units.
  • Prepare regulatory responses related to compliance audits and inspections.
  • Update SharePoint sites, manage mail collection, and maintain records.
  • Perform additional administrative and datarelated tasks as assigned.
  • Assist with data tracking, metrics, and trend analysis.
  • Contribute to meeting established goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to the highest ethical standards of business conduct.
  • Participation in the System Emergency Assignment (SEA) program is required; employees must report to their emergency assignment when called upon.
  • Duties are not limited to the items listed above; additional responsibilities may be assigned as business needs evolve.

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience
  • High School Diploma/GED
Preferred Education/Experience
  • High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of office experience
  • Associate's Degree and 2 years of office experience
  • Bachelor's Degree and 1 year of office experience
Relevant Work Experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in Office 365 including Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, and Co-Pilot - Preferred
  • 1 year experience in the environmental compliance space in a clerical, administrative, or project management capacity. Specifically in Hazardous, Non-Hazardous, and Universal Waste industries- Preferred
  • 1 year experience working with regulatory agencies on environmental compliance - Preferred
  • Demonstrates strong motivation, a dedication to excellence, and a high degree of personal accountability.
  • Demonstrates a proactive approach to re-prioritizing tasks in response to shifting business needs and project demands.
  • Employs advanced emotional intelligence and interpersonal intuition to navigate complex client interactions and ensure positive outcomes.
  • Meticulous in following up on outstanding items to ensure project continuity.

  • Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Sit or stand to answer a phone for the duration of the workday

  • Ability to stoop, bend, reach, and kneel throughout the workday
  • Stand to use/operate office equipment for the duration of the workday
  • Ability to read small print and symbols
Additional Physical Demands
  • The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
