Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
SUMMARY:
This is an On-site Service Technician that will be located at a client location in Foster City, CA.
The On-site Service Technician will be servicing and calibrating Rainin and other brands of pipettes. Conducts timely and efficient mechanical and electronic measuring, recording, and inspection on pipettes serviced to ensure conformance to established client specifications. Provide immediate troubleshooting support as required by the client. Perform to the service level agreements (SLA's) and performance metrics, such as turnaround time, quality and utilization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* The On-site Service Technician provides pipette repair and calibration services according to the client's service schedule.
* Representing Rainin to client in a professional and positive manner.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Completes service reports and expense reports and is responsible for maintaining service equipment and parts inventory.
* Provides Rainin Sales team with customer leads for potential new product purchases
* When available, assists in Oakland Service Center production activities as assigned by the Regional Service Manager.
* Perform e-form submission system for initiating calibrations, using Smart bins for collecting pipettes. Use of RFID or similar tracking device for pipette movement and calibration status.
* Perform inventory tracking and data management by using a system to log, track and report calibration history.
* Store digital certificates of calibration and print options.
* Be able to update and report required on dashboard and any reporting interfaces
* Create Trouble tickets whenever necessary to address any software or hardware related issues needed.
* Respond to daily work/service-related questions from the client.

* High school diploma or general education degree (GED); minimum of two years related experience with pipette calibration or equivalent combination of education and prior work experience.
* Previous knowledge or work experience with pipettes preferred.
* Must have strong interpersonal and verbal (English) communication skills.
* Must have good written communication skills, as there will be frequent email communication with customers and associates and daily completion of service reports.
* Must have good mechanical aptitude and the ability to disassemble and reassemble small precision mechanical instruments.
* Strong organizational skills to successfully develop and schedule, process, and complete multiple tasks.
* Must have good computer skills, including use of email and common Microsoft Office programs. Our Offer to You
