Overview

The Focus Factory Integration Manager is responsible for activities associated with construction management at Focus Factories and Make-to-Buy Vendors, including hosting Plan of the Day/Week meetings, identifying and driving resolution of holdups, and maintaining project schedules. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Strategic Sourcing.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Adherence / acceleration of construction schedules
  • Oversight of cost and progress goals
  • Oversight of work order attainment and holdup resolution

To accomplish this, the Focus Factory Integration Manager will partner with both deployed EB employees and vendor (embedded) employees to ensure teams are operating successfully to achieve program build rates through critical resource planning, driving culture of schedule adherence and learning. In addition to interfacing with on-site EB and vendor employees, the Focus Factory Integration Manager will also partner with Programs, Waterfront Engineering, Design, QA, Material and Planning organizations to resolve all issues impacting ships' construction.

The Focus Factory Integration Manager is expected to hold daily tactical and strategic project team meetings communicating short-term and long-term project team goals, coordinate trade activities, provide guidance for all departments and functions supporting Focus Factory construction while also looking strategically ahead to mitigate risk and pre-plan the next hulls.

The position requires knowledge of submarine construction processes across all trades and organizations; specifically, the position requires an in-depth knowledge of construction, support organizations, and EBC's business systems including Artemis, EWP/MRP, SWSS, 7G, etc. as well as EBC MDDs, SDDs, etc. related to construction.



Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalency
  • 8+ years demonstrated construction project management experience within a shipyard or nuclear environment
  • 4+ years supervisory experience

Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Submarine module construction / fabrication experience
  • For internal employees: EB Ship's Manager or Assistant Ship's Manager experience
