Onsite Inventory Technician

In this role, you will report to the Site Services Supervisor and will work closely with the Avantor's Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel - and our customers - to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Hourly Rate: $20.50

Schedule: Sunday - Tuesday and every other Wednesday, 6 am - 6 pm

What we're looking for:

Education: High school diploma or GED is required.

Experience: 1+ years' customer service, inventory replenishment, or material handling experience is required.

Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Office suite.

Qualifications:

• Conform to all company and customer requirements for background checks, health and safety issues required.

• Strong communication skills required.

• High level of customer service skills with the ability to display a professional can-do attitude required.

• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs required.

• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office required.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines required.

• Problem-solving skills required.

• Spill containment training, IATA, DOT, IMDG and OSHA Right to Know experience is considered a plus.

• Previous experience working in a GMP facility is strongly desired.

Avantor's Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.

In this role you will:

• Inventory management, including receiving stockroom orders

• Verifying item accuracy, quantity, and documentation, and overall condition before stockingfor incoming materials

• Sorting of materials and delivering to designated areas, dock inventory/organization

• Executing washing, autoclaving, and tubing assembly may include collection, inspection, distribution, and data collection of various types of items

• Accurately record and communicate information to internal and external teams

• Understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures

• Use inventory management system(s); SAP, etc.

• Perform Safety-focused Operations: Documenting/reporting observations, executing basic safety scope (e.g., eye wash stations, safety showers, extinguisher, ERT carts, etc.)

• Perform other duties as assigned
