General Shop Clerk *Shift: 1st, (7am-3:30pm)* *Pay: $19/hr (Based on Experience)* We are seeking a mechanically inclined General Shop Person to join our production team. This role involves hands-on fabrication support, material handling, equipment operation, and general shop maintenance. This is not a warehouse or shipping/receiving position-we are looking for candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and experience using tools and machinery. Job Description: Load and unload trucks and store incoming steel using an overhead crane Wash steel tubing to remove grease Cut metal material to size using various cutting machines (must read tape measures to 1/16") Grind and polish metal products using electric hand grinders Caulk and apply bondo to fabricated products (railings, fences, steel stairs) Maintain a clean and organized shop (sweeping, trash removal, etc.) Perform outdoor maintenance tasks such as cutting grass Occasionally assist installers in the field Occasionally drive company vehicles to pick up or deliver materials (after hire) Required Qualifications: Mechanical ability with experience using hand and electrical tools Strong math skills, especially fractions and decimals Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly
