Temple University's Housing Operations Department is searching for an Associate Director, Housing Operations!

Salary Range:$80,000 - $85,000
A variety of important factors are reviewed by HR when considering salary, including job duties, the applicant's education and experience, all relevant internal equity considerations, department budget, and funding source.

Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Housing Operations, the Associate Director of Housing Operations serves as a member of the University Housing & Residential Life (UHRL) leadership team and is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and guidance for the operational and business processes that support the residential experience at Temple University. The Associate Director completes duties in areas such as housing assignments, occupancy management, process and project leadership, enrollment management and recruiting efforts, and other general functions for students interested in or considering living on campus within one of the University's residence hall buildings. This role plays a significant part in University Housing & Residential Life's daily operations, fiscal position, and long-term planning.

The Associate Director directly supervises three (3) Housing Services Coordinators who manage direct communication with thousands of current and prospective students who are working their way through University processes related to their housing and dining experience. This role will have significant impact upon the perception and quality of housing to students, and contribute heavily to marketing, branding, and communications efforts. This position requires frequent and meaningful interaction with residential students, parents/families, faculty, administrators, and campus partners.

The Associate Director maintains a high level of communication with other departments, colleagues, and external sources, and collaborates effectively with a broad range of professionals to positively impact UHRL goals and activities. The position is a full-time, 12-month, live-off appointment. This role contributes to a positive university experience for every student and is accountable to all Division of Student Affairs (DoSA) values. The DoSA values are Excellence, Inclusion, Innovation, Integrity, and Respect.

Job Details
This position requires the following background checks: Criminal history review, child abuse clearance and FBI fingerprinting, and access or control over financial transactions for the University or have access to Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

Required Education and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in College Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration, Business Administration, Project Management, or closely related field.
* At least five (5) years of directly related full-time, professional experience.
* An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred Education and Experience
* Master's degree in College Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration, Business Administration, Project Management, or closely related field.
* 5 years Post-Masters professional experience in housing, administration, housing operations/assignments, and/or central residential life operations.

Required Skills and Abilities
* Demonstrated project management skills, including problem solving and critical thinking.
* Demonstrated experience supervising, developing, mentoring, and motivating a diverse staff team.
* Experience building collaborative partnerships with faculty, administrators, students, parents/families, and community partners.
* Significant proficiency, power-user level training, and experience in the use and execution of the StarRez Housing Platform.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
* Proficiency in using, manipulating, reporting, and presenting data and analysis in electronic formats. Ability to recognize errors and experience resolving or mitigating data errors.
* Ability to manage multiple collaborative projects and systems in a fast-paced, complex environment.
* Experience with managing high priority processes within short timelines and understand context and switch priorities quickly.
* Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and efficiently.
* Strong interpersonal, leadership, oral, and written communication skills.
* Experience with development of policies, programs, and protocols/standard operating procedures.

This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
