Pharmacy Intern team members are primarily responsible for receiving and inputting medication orders into computer via fax or phone from facilities under the
supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Responsibilities

Pharmacy Intern Responsibilities:

Demonstrate a complete working knowledge of the pharmacy software package.

Print labels and delivery sheets to allow technicians to fill orders.
Check final prepared medications for accuracy under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
Provide drug information in an easily understood manner as requested by facility staff.
Research and clarifiy medication orders that are incomplete or unclear.
Support both operational needs to fulfill medication orders as well as support the consulting team.
Support MTM per scope of practice as well as conduct station audits within facilities.

Qualifications

Pharmacy Intern Qualifications:

* Currently enrolled in an accredited pharmacy program to become a licensed Pharmacist
* Registration with the Board of Pharmacy as required by individual state
