Responsibilities
  • Lead the architecture and implementationof scalable frontend solutions forreal-timereporting and analytics, making key technical decisions that improvelong-termsystem health.

  • Driveend-to-endtechnical designfor major features, influencing product direction and ensuring engineering decisions align with business goals.

  • Elevate performance, accessibility, and responsivenessacross platforms by applying deepexpertisein modern frontend engineering patterns.

  • Serve as the Designated Responsible Individual (DRI)for critical services-owning mitigation,root causeanalysis, and implementinglong-termreliability improvements throughhigh quality observability and automation.

  • Mentor and coach early-in-career engineers, providing guidance on engineering best practices, code quality, design patterns, and inclusive engineering behaviors.

  • Advocate for engineering excellence, driving improvements in code quality, test coverage, accessibility standards, and operational readiness.



Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field AND 4+ years of technical engineering experience coding in languages including (but not limited to) JavaScript/TypeScript, C/C++, C#, Java, or Python; or equivalent experience.

  • 4+ years of experience in front-end development.

  • 4+ years of experience in JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.

  • 4+ years of experience integrating with RESTful APIs and cloud services.

Other Requirements:

Abilityto meet Microsoft,customer,and/or government security screening requirements arerequiredfor this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check:This position will berequiredto pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

PreferredRequirements

  • Master's degree in computer science or related technical field AND 6+ years of engineering experience; OR Bachelor's degree AND 8+ years of experience;

    • OR equivalent experience.

  • Demonstratedexpertiseleading initiatives that spanmultiple teams or technical domains, such ascross serviceintegrations,platform levelenhancements, or multicomponent UX flows.

  • Experience shapingfrontend architectural strategy(e.g., modularcomponentframeworks, design systems, state management patterns, accessibility toolchains).

  • Ability to applydata drivenengineering practices(telemetry, experimentation, performance profiling, accessibility audits) to improve customer experience atscale.

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
