Overview
Microsoft is on a mission to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. Our culture is centered on embracing a growth mindset, a theme of inspiring excellence, and encouraging teams and leaders to bring their best each day. The Commerce + Ecosystems (C+E) division is developing Microsoft's large scale and business-critical services to empower e-commerce of Microsoft's key businesses: Azure, Office 365, Microsoft Online Store, Microsoft Ads, and a lot more. If you buy a cloud service on Azure, subscribe to Office 365 or pay for advertising on Bing.com, you are using our commerce platform to transact. We specialize in a massive infrastructure that handles the core licensing functionality for all of Microsoft. With this scale and reach you'll find the opportunity to make an impact on Microsoft's bottom-line directly as we process 90% of Microsoft's revenue. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the development of a rapidly growing commercial platform. As part of our team, you will take ownership of delivering world-class experiences to our customers and partners. This role offers a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing an excellent opportunity to drive highly strategic and industry-relevant projects. If you excel at solving complex problems, influencing technical direction, and are passionate about building and operating robust, reliable, and highly distributed software systems using the latest technologies, we would like to hear from you. You should have deep expertise across the software development lifecycle, from architecture to testing. You'll demonstrate a passion for quality and creative problem-solving. You'll design and manage secure, reliable, scalable, and maintainable systems, and then effectively debug, test, and support them in production. You should be comfortable leading feature development and making architectural decisions independently. You will be empowered to envision, design, code, validate, and deploy key features with substantial customer and business impact. You will build critical cross-service expertise around Containers, Helm Charts, Linux, and Kubernetes best practices, architecture, design, debugging, and troubleshooting. You will naturally embody Microsoft's culture and passion for growth mindset while fostering technical excellence and mentoring others to set the team up for success and growth. Responsibilities
