As a Security Officer - Power Company in Monroe, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents, while your commitment to exceptional customer service and communication will support everyone at the site. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as needed.
• Monitor access points to help control entry and exit, verifying credentials and/or identification as required by site protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Document and report security-related incidents, unusual observations, and maintenance needs according to site and Allied Universal protocols.
• Collaborate with site personnel and local authorities as directed to support security-related operations at the utilities location.
• Remain alert and attentive to changing conditions and/or potential hazards in the environment, taking appropriate action as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
