Job Description




As a Security Officer - Chemical Plant Entry Driver in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service and communication. This driving post requires you to meet Allied Universal's standards for reliability and integrity, as you play a key role in supporting a secure environment. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at chemical or petrochemical locations.
  • Monitor access control points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activities within the chemical or petrochemical facility.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for chemical or petrochemical environments.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or security-related breaches.
  • Maintain detailed logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities observed during shifts.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal management to address security-related concerns unique to chemical or petrochemical operations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
