CLA is growing and seeking to hire an experienced Platform Administrator to join our talented Business Technology Solutions team. The position offers growth, flexibility and a collaborative work environment.

This role is responsible for assisting in the administration, maintenance, and support of the Databricks platform. This role involves ensuring the platform's optimal performance and reliability, supporting users, and collaborating with data teams.

How you'll create opportunities in this Platform Administrator role:

  • Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of Databricks clusters.

  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues, escalating as needed.

  • Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with data governance policies.

  • Collaborate with cross-functionals teams to optimize workflows.

  • Document processes and procedures for platform administration.

  • Support the maintenance of role-based access to data and features in the Databricks Platform using Unity Catalog.

  • Support implementation of external access controls for outside teams using service principles, SQL warehouses, and Delta Sharing.

  • Track unused assets for pruning.

  • Implement service principles and access tokens for external users.

  • Provide support to platform users to solve problems and facilitate work

  • Support query and dashboard creation to monitor critical systems and processes

  • Assist with automation of common admin tasks using Databricks notebooks.

  • Support management of workflow tags, cluster tags, workflow naming convention enforcement.

  • Assist with clusters health check and best practices implementation.

  • Assist with regular backup and recovery.

  • Participate in privilege reviews on users and resources.

What you will need:

  • 3 years of relevant experience required

  • Experience with Databricks preferred

  • Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of relevant experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.
