This role sits within the Preclinical Services Business Unit and focuses on product and service offerings specific to Immunology and Autoimmunity. Candidates with proven expertise with life science tools serving immunology, autoimmunity, and large molecule therapeutics are strongly preferred.

The Senior Product Manager drives implementation and expansion of new and existing products to capture and retain market share, ensures seamless product introduction and lifecycle management of assigned product lines. The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for mapping the pre-clinical research and drug discovery market, quantifying market size and opportunity, conducting voice of customer exercises that yield actionable insights and feed this into new product development and product improvement initiatives. The role will also develop compelling value propositions for assigned product lines, partnering with marketing to deploy campaigns with required messaging and content. The Senior Product Manager supports sales and our other customer-facing groups through the provision of sales tools and training, pricing and targeting strategies as well as customer visits and presentations. The Senior Product Manager also participates in and develops financial forecasting to include net, operating, and gross margins as well as revenue targets for their respective products in collaboration with leadership. Daily management of the portfolio will involve deal management of sales opportunities, customer communications, quality situation management, acquisition of direct voice-of-customer information, and determining and delivering business guidance for other functional groups.

The salary range is $85,987 - $143,962. Salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience.

The hired candidate will work remotely but will be required to travel to JAX locations, conferences, or meetings up to 30%.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions

  • Procures, analyzes, and synthesizes market information from internal and external resources into new product concept proposals aligned with a broader product strategy. Elements must include a clear product strategy including but not limited to market segmentation and maturity assessment, unmet needs matrix, product positioning statement, competitive landscape and anticipated response, IP strategy and sustainability assessment, strategic fit, delivery channel, and customer feedback.
  • Oversees day to day customer interactions to understand and be able to represent user needs to execute or oversee process improvements to enhance customer experience
  • Provide market opportunity assessments that may include TAM/SAM/SOM analyses, pricing strategies and projections of expected returns. Must include clear developmental timelines and investment requirements with associated milestones and technical risks.
  • Lead and Develop Staff, as well as build collaborative relationships with colleagues in R&D, operations, and marketing
  • "Leads commercialization and growth of a new business area through influence and integration of stakeholders via a clear sales and marketing plan that includes continued product concept development such as refinement of revenue forecasts and pricing structures.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required. Doctorate Degree preferred.
  • Four years of experience in life science tools focused product management, product marketing, or strategic marketing serving academic, pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical customers.
  • Two years of supervisory experience is required.
  • Background in Immunology or Autoimmunity preferred.
  • Own the product strategy and lifecycle management for assigned product platforms and services within the Immunology/Autoimmunity portfolio.
  • Conduct market sizing, segmentation, and opportunity assessments to guide investment decisions.
  • Build and maintain a portfolio roadmap informed by scientific innovation, competitive intelligence, and customer insights.
  • Define clear value propositions and differentiation strategies against competitors.
  • Partner with marketing colleagues to develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new and existing services.
  • Drive the creation compelling product messaging, positioning, and content for campaigns, sales tools, and customer engagement.
  • Support training programs for BD and sales teams to ensure consistent and accurate articulation of product value.
  • Provide input into pricing and revenue models to maximize growth and profitability.
  • Work closely with R&D, scientific leaders, and operations to align product offerings with market demand.
  • Engage with customers and key opinion leaders through Voice of Customer programs, advisory boards, and conferences.
  • Partner with corporate development to evaluate partnership or licensing opportunities that strengthen the portfolio.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive activities, and scientific advancements to anticipate market shifts.
  • Translate complex scientific information into actionable strategies and clear marketing narratives.
  • Track product performance against KPIs and make data-driven recommendations for optimization.
  • Demonstrated successful experience in formulating, communicating, and implementing complex plans and creative problem-solving as needed to launch and build products and services
  • Interpersonal relationship skills sufficient to allow incumbent to effectively lead others, to develop consensus among those holding disparate opinions and to work effectively with individuals and groups made up of people representing a diversity of levels and degrees of sophistication
  • Excellent initiative and organizational skills to prioritize complex tasks, projects, and workflow, and use independent judgment to make decisions regarding operations and deadlines
  • Demonstrated successful experience in making important decisions, often under some pressure and tight time deadlines, which carry large financial consequences.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a positive team player across diverse internal and external organizations
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
