As a Security Officer - Campus Patrol Driver in Castle Hayne, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and promote a welcoming atmosphere. Your visible presence and proactive approach will support a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. This is a driving post, allowing you to engage with the campus community while delivering exceptional customer service and upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting in maintaining order and helping to deter unwanted activity.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and perimeter to observe for suspicious activity, unauthorized individuals, and/or maintenance issues.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or unusual occurrences in accordance with Allied Universal protocols and site requirements.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry points and verifying identification as required by site policy.
  • Support evacuation and emergency response procedures by guiding individuals to designated areas and providing information to first responders when needed.
  • Communicate professionally with students, staff, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
