Job Description

The Senior Product Manager, Flex and Installments Product Development, Issuance will drive the definition, delivery, and optimization of Visa's Flex and Installments product suite-including Visa Flexible Credential, Visa Installment Credential, Visa Installment Solutions, and future product lines. This role is critical for modernizing credential capability, enabling new income streams, and supporting issuers andfintechsin achieving top-of-wallet status. Reporting to the Director,Flexand Installments Products, you will focus on delivering integrated product experiences, features, and capabilities that address the needs of large-scale issuers, mid-tier issuers, hyper-growthfintechs, and issuer partners and processors.

This position requires a strong understanding of the four-party ecosystem and card-based payments, with a primary emphasis on the issuance side. You will work closely with cross-functional teams across Visa to build, commercialize, and scale our business services,collaborating with Product Strategy, Solution Enablement, Platform Products, Tokens, and Architecture& Engineering Teams.

This role is global and will need to balance regional and global opportunities to achieve overall solution and platformobjectives. Accomplishing this will requireabilitytosupportprioritization decisions, collaborate cross-functionally andstrong technical aptitude, businessacumenand client-first mindset.

Key Responsibilitiesand Role Expectations:

  • Product Area Ownership: Manage and deliver enhancements for a defined area within the Flex and Installments suite, including current and future products and services.
  • Issuer Growth Enablement: Develop and launch solutions that accelerate growth for issuers andfintechs, supporting strategic partners and new entrants.
  • Integrated Experiences: Ensure seamless, integrated features and functionalities, delivering a unified experience for issuers and cardholders.
  • Customer Focus: Deeply understand issuer and fintech needs, championing improvements to cardholder experiences both online and in-person.
  • Product Development: Author requirements, prioritize backlogs, and partner with engineering and architecture to deliver new features and solutions. Support build-vs-buy-vs-partner decisions to maximize value.
  • Technical Acumen & Architecture Partnership: Demonstrate strong technical fluency (APIs, data models, platform SLAs, resilience/security basics) to write clear, testable requirements; collaborate with Tech Architecture/Processing to align on solution design, estimate effort (e.g.,tshirtsizing), manage dependencies, and ensure features meet performance and reliability targets (e.g., rules engine latency, availability, observability).
  • Execution and Delivery: Lead initiatives from concept to launch, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope, balancing feature development with technical debt and scalability.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Strategy, Solution Enablement, Platform Products, Tokens, and Architecture to define and deliver solutions. Provide SME support for client activities and project delivery across regions.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze product performance, iterate on solutions, andoptimizeoutcomes using data-driven insights.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency throughout the product lifecycle.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
  • Proven experience in product management, preferably in payments, fintech, or technology innovation.
  • Strong understanding of network products, processing frameworks, and technology.
  • Experience with Visa product management tools and frameworks, PLM, and API-based product development.
  • Demonstrated success in driving product growth and adoption for issuers andfintechs.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communicator and collaborator, able toinfluence acrossteams and regions.
  • Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Customer-focused mindset, with the ability to research market trends and user needs

Travel Requirements:This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements:This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 169,100.00 to 245,400.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
