What to Expect

Tesla is looking for an experienced Transportation Program Manager. Gigafactory Nevada features a comprehensive employee shuttle service program, encompassing commuter, last-mile, and intercampus routes that operate 24/7 and transport over 10,000 employees daily. As a key member of the Workplace Team, the Transportation Program Manager oversees the coordination and optimization of diverse transportation options across multiple sites, utilizing various communication channels to ensure seamless operations. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams and plays a pivotal part in advancing the Go I Tesla initiative for efficient, sustainable employee mobility.


What You'll Do
  • Manage multiple vendors and suppliers to ensure safe, timely performance of the growing employee transportation and vanpool programs, including making logistical coverage decisions and communicating them effectively
  • Provide a level of service delivery that meets or exceeds customer expectations by maintaining vigilant review of on-time performance, keeping customer complaints to a minimum, and resolving those complaints that arise
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding transportation and deliver notifications and alerts using multiple communication channels
  • Perform daily management of the Go I Tesla Vanpool app
  • Report and interpret ridership numbers to suggest vehicle size increase, decrease, or termination
  • Participate in company environmental and commuter reduction programs, including discount programs, carpools, vanpools, and bicycle and pedestrian programs
  • Effectively communicate changes and needs to all stakeholders, along with other assignments as required

What You'll Bring
  • 3+ years of experience in Transportation field or leadership role
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalentexperience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Proven ability to identify trends, develop strategies and implement solutions to drive results
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to present in a formal setting
  • Excellent organization and time management/multi-tasking skills
