What to Expect
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Purchasing Auditor who will define the strategy and scope for an audit program focused on Tesla's global procurement organization. The role entails establishing and executing a robust purchasing audit program in collaboration with cross-functional teams and based on Tesla's purchasing procedures and best practices. You will be part of a team that is the key point of contact for driving continuous improvement and automation efforts for procurement with the objective of enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of Tesla's global supply chain organization. We are looking for someone who can think strategically, is highly data-driven, and can execute complex analytical work at scale. This individual will ask the right questions and translate them into impactful analyses as well as system and process requirements involving diverse data sets.

What You'll Do
  • Define and lead Tesla's purchasing audit scope, strategy, and risk mitigation program
  • Conduct regular purchasing audits for global direct and indirect expenditures to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of purchasing procedures
  • Identify potential risks, such as fraud, mismanagement or non-compliance, verifying purchasing activities adhere to internal policies and procedures
  • Make recommendations for improving purchasing processes, policies, reporting, and internal systems
  • Prepare audit reports, summarize findings and present results and recommendations to relevant cross-functional stakeholders and procurement leadership
  • Monitor implementation of corrective actions, ensuring issues identified by audit findings are addressed
  • Collaborate with various departments, including supply chain, finance, and internal audit, to drive improved spend management

What You'll Bring
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Purchasing/Procurement or evidence of exceptional ability, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of full-time work experience in auditing, accounting, purchasing, process optimization, data analysis, and/or stakeholder communication
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze discrepancies, trends, and potential issues within purchasing processes
  • Strategic thinking and good communication skills with the ability to present complex topics in a clear and concise manner
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good understanding of purchasing processes, policies, and best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders, collaborate with others, and build strong relationships

    Expected Compensation
    $96,000 - $198,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
