Community Engagement Manager

PPG is seeking a Community Engagement Manager to help advance the company's community engagement strategy and programming. This individual will be responsible for coordinating PPG's COLORFUL COMMUNITIES program, supporting local market giving across the U.S., and cultivating strategic nonprofit partnerships.

You will work a hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days per week in office based at our headquarters in downtown Pittsburgh, PA and will report to Director, Community Engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
Colorful Communities program

• Lead day-to-day operations of the Colorful Communities program; work closely with U.S. Project Managers across local markets to plan and execute successful revitalization projects by supporting partnership identification, event planning and communications.

• Collaborate with global regions to ensure Colorful Communities projects align with global guidelines; oversee planning and project execution.

• Coordinate communications efforts for the Colorful Communities program, including promotion of the overall program brand and individual projects through PPG internal and external channels in collaboration with PPG communications team.

• Analyze existing program processes and adapt them to maximize efficiency in program planning and execution.

• Manage evaluation efforts of the Colorful Communities initiative, tracking individual projects and overall program data.

• Lead strategic efforts to plan for the future evolution of the Colorful Communities program.

Local Market Giving

• Support U.S.-based local market grant makers in identifying and executing on partnerships in alignment with PPG Foundation's giving strategy.

• Serve as point of contact for local market grant makers and establish a regular cadence of meetings to oversee grant making efforts and budget allocations.

• Analyze and establish budget allocation for U.S. local markets.

Strategic Partnerships

• Serve as ambassador representing PPG and the PPG Foundation within the community and with strategic funding partners.

• Maximize partnerships through employee engagement and strong communications and storytelling activities.

Employee Engagement

• Manage and coordinate execution of U.S. employee programs (Matching Gifts, GIVE, Innovative Classroom Grants, Volunteer Time Off, PPG Care Fund.

• Coordinate employee volunteer activities.

• Partner with vendor to ensure programs are successful and fully utilized.

Communications

• Manage internal and external communications for community engagement programs through storytelling and use of all channels.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders on communications, marketing, branding and overall positioning of community engagement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in related discipline.

• 5-8 years of experience in community engagement, partnership development, program management, corporate communications, and/or marketing communications.

• Proven experience managing volunteer events.

• Ability to work under pressure in a detail-oriented, fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency in social media and experience with content development for Intranet and websites.

• Ability to connect and partner collaboratively at all levels within an organization.

• Excellent planning, organization and project management skills.

• Exceptional writing ability, analytical and persuasive skills, ability to multi-task effectively.

• Ability to work independently to manage multiple projects, and execute time-sensitive tasks.

• Knowledge of office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams, experience with grants management software a plus.

• Available to participate on-site in Pittsburgh for events and activities, with some occurring after normal business hours.
