Set Up Technician

The Set-Up Technician is responsible for understanding and supporting Managed Services - Staging personnel device configuration requirements within a technical environment. The Set-Up Technician position requires the ability to support the overall Staging and Distribution Department processes by managing a variety of Boxing, Unboxing, Preparation, Shipping, Receiving, and Material Management activities to support enhanced productivity of the Staging Team in their device configuration process.

This position requires the ability to promote continuous improvement of existing processes associated with both Staging and Distribution functions as well as making recommendations and decisions that are in alignment with and assist in meeting company goals and objectives.

Specific duties also include -

• Unbox and box network equipment and prepare bulk devices for configuration by the Managed Services - Staging Team
• Prepare configured network equipment, boxes, and packaging for shipment processing by the Distribution Department
• Label each network device per Managed Services - Staging requirements
• Support Distribution Manager, Procurement Specialist and Staging Departments as needed.
• Develop and maintain procedures associated with the various processes performed within the Set-Up activities for the Staging and Distribution Departments.

Requirements

• • 2+ years of experience in an inventory control environment preferred.
  • Experience with Coaxial and Copper infrastructure.
  • Proven resourcefulness and trustworthiness.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to make quick decisions during time critical situations.
  • A track record of following through on commitments.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically.
  • Experience creating detailed reports.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

• Supply Chain Related Degree a plus
• U.S. Citizenship
