Description

The NGR Operator is responsible for the operation of the NGR machine.


1st Shift, Monday - Friday, 7:00am -3:00pm
$19.00 per hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Remove scrap from bins in an efficient mannerdentify foreign objects in the product and remove them prior to feeding into the machine.
  • Separate product material by code.
  • Complete all required paperwork fully and accurately.
  • Maintain budgeted resin levels.
  • Must be able to multitask by feeding conveyer and rolls simultaneously.
  • Analyze control screen data and initiate improvements based on readings.
  • Change screens and blades as needed.
  • Successfully operate machine at the proper settings.
  • Recognize and prevent possible meltdowns.
  • Resolve minor technical problems independently.
  • Identify E-stops and safety sensitive areas
  • Assist in Maintenance PM's
  • Maintains a clean workspace by ensuring all housekeeping is completed on shift.
  • Work benches clean and organized scrap removed, trash dumped, floors swept, aisles
    are clear of bins and remain unobstructed, excess or unused materials removed.
  • Practice safe behavior with regards to equipment and task.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

Qualifications:

  • At least six (6) months of manufacturing experience desired.

  • None

Skills/Competencies

  • Must be able to read, speak and write in English with good interpersonal skills.
  • Must be capable of reading and following work instruction and safety rules.
  • Must be able to adapt and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be capable of maintaining good attendance.
  • Must be capable of performing addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division calculations.
  • Must possess good organization and time management skills and practice.

  • Work is performed by using both hands and arms while in a standing position for an eight
    (8) hour shift. Frequently bends, reaches, twists, pushes, pulls, squats, or kneels.
  • Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs. from floor to waist on a regular basis, and 70 lbs as team
    lifts.
  • Must be able to use a pallet jack.

  • Environment is typical of a manufacturing area; hearing protection is required due to the high
